# How to build _a weekly wellbeing plan_

Bring workouts, meals, health schedules, and personal commitments into one realistic view of the week.

Moodwell Updated September 18, 2026 3 minute read

In brief

Build a weekly wellbeing plan by placing fixed commitments first, then adding workouts and meals around them. Moodwell's shared planner brings these alongside health schedules in week and day views. A planned item shows what you intend to do; logging the activity records what actually happened.

## One week has many kinds of commitments

A workout plan can look reasonable until it meets a late meeting, a grocery gap, and the health item you need to remember. A shared wellbeing plan lets you see those demands together before the week begins.

The purpose is not to fill every open space. It is to make the important actions visible and leave enough room for real life.

## Plan in four passes

1. 1

    ### Place fixed items

Add appointments, saved health schedules, and commitments that cannot move.

2. 2

    ### Choose movement

Schedule workouts where time and recovery make sense.

3. 3

    ### Support meals

Plan the meals or preparation moments that need advance thought.

4. 4

    ### Protect breathing room

Leave open space for changes, rest, and unfinished tasks.

## Use the day view to make the plan concrete

The week view helps with balance. The day view helps with sequence. Open tomorrow and check whether the timing still makes sense. Move what is flexible before the day becomes crowded.

Recorded activity and planned activity are different facts. Keep both visible so a skipped workout does not appear completed and a logged meal does not disappear into the plan.

## Example: planning around a busy Wednesday

Suppose Wednesday has an evening appointment. Put that commitment in the planner first. Place a familiar workout on Tuesday or Thursday, then plan a meal for Wednesday that does not compete with the appointment. Leave the health schedule at the time specified by your treatment plan.

On Wednesday morning, open the day view and check the order. After eating, log the meal in Nutrition so it contributes to the diary. When you complete a workout, save the session in Fitness. Planning gives each activity a place; recording it gives you a history you can review.

## Review the plan without scoring yourself

At the end of the week, notice what repeatedly moved or went unfinished. The useful question is whether the plan matched your available time and energy. Adjust the next week based on that evidence.

- Move recurring items to a better time
- Reduce the number of high-effort days in a row
- Keep meals or routines that lowered decision effort
- Remove commitments that no longer serve the week
