# Read interaction findings with their _coverage limits_

Distinguish a documented finding, a check without a finding, and an item that could not be fully checked.

Moodwell Updated September 20, 2026 3 minute read

In brief

Review both the documented findings and the items with incomplete source data. No interaction found is not a statement that a combination is safe. Use the exact product details and source information to prepare a pharmacist question.

## Do not flatten three states into one answer

An interaction screen can show a documented finding, a completed check with no matching finding, or incomplete coverage because information was unavailable. These are different statements about the available data. Moodwell makes coverage gaps visible so that an unchecked item does not quietly look like a checked item.

Start with the wording of the state, not the color of the card or the absence of a warning icon. Even a check with no documented finding cannot rule out an interaction. Your personal circumstances and information outside the app are not reduced to a single result.

## Confirm which products were actually represented

Open the cabinet entries behind the review. Compare medication identities and supplement ingredient details with the labels you have. An incomplete item record can limit what there is to check. A similar product name also needs attention when the formulation or manufacturer differs from the container in front of you.

If a finding includes source information, read that context before paraphrasing it. Separate what the source says from what you infer about your own routine. Improving the saved product details can improve the record, but it does not turn the app into a substitute for a clinical assessment.

## Example: two represented items and one incomplete item

Imagine reviewing three cabinet items. The screen has no documented finding for the available checks, while one supplement appears with incomplete source coverage. Saying that all three items were cleared would erase the most important limitation in that result.

A useful note is more exact: the app showed no finding for its available checks, and this supplement had incomplete coverage. Bring the supplement container and the names of the other products to your pharmacist. That phrasing describes the screen accurately and leaves the unanswered question visible instead of converting it into reassurance.

## Make the review easy to follow

1. 1

    ### Read the finding

Identify the named items and the documented statement. Avoid substituting your own interpretation for the source wording.

2. 2

    ### Read the coverage gaps

Check which items lacked source information. Keep those names with the review even when no finding was displayed elsewhere.

3. 3

    ### Verify the labels

Confirm that saved product details and ingredient lists describe the actual containers you use, not a nearby search match.

4. 4

    ### Ask a focused question

Give your pharmacist the complete product list and ask how the documented finding or information gap applies to your situation.

## Use a finding to open a conversation

FDA guidance recommends discussing prescription medicines, over-the-counter products, and supplements with a doctor or pharmacist when asking about interactions. Include products that are easy to overlook because you use them only occasionally.

Do not use a missing finding to start a combination or a displayed finding to decide on a treatment change by yourself. The actionable result of this review is a better question supported by accurate records.
