# GLP-1 schedule, logged doses and supply: keep all three in one record

The schedule you were given, the injections you actually logged and the doses left in the box drift apart when they live in three places. How to keep them on one item, what Health Today shows, and what the record will not do.

The short answer

## How do you keep a GLP-1 schedule, the doses you took and the supply left in one place?

Put all three on one item in a medication cabinet: the schedule you were instructed to follow, every injection you log with its dose, date, time and site, and the supply details for that item. Moodwell keeps the schedule separate from the logged doses, so a planned Thursday is never counted as a taken one until you log it, and Health Today shows what is due without you working it out from the box.

Three records, usually kept in three places. The schedule is a phone reminder or a line from the appointment. The doses you actually took are in your memory, and memory rounds up. The supply is whatever is in the fridge door. By the third week they disagree, and the person paying for each box out of pocket finds out at the counter, not before.

This article is about the record, not the drug. It does not cover prices, insurance or where to buy; your prescriber and your pharmacy own those. It shows where each of the three records goes in Moodwell, what the app does with the gap between a scheduled dose and a logged one, and what it will not do. One question runs through it: tomorrow morning, from one screen, can you say when the next one is due, what you actually took last, and how many are left?

## Why do the schedule, the log and the supply drift apart?

Because they are three different kinds of record. The schedule is a plan: what you were told to do and when. The dose log is history: what went in, at what time, in which site. The supply is an inventory: what is still in the box. A plan does not change when you skip a week, history does not say what is due next, and a box count on its own cannot tell a missed dose from a miscount.

Three records that are usually kept apart, and what goes wrong when they are.
| Record | What it is | Where it usually lives | What goes wrong |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| The schedule | A plan: the day and dose you were instructed to follow | A phone reminder, a note from the appointment, memory | It keeps firing after a skipped week, so it stops meaning anything |
| The dose log | History: each injection with its dose, date, time and site | Memory, or a pen mark on the box | Weeks blur. The site and the exact date are the first details to go |
| The supply | An inventory: the doses still on hand | The fridge door | You learn it is empty on the morning a dose is due |

Put the same three on one item and each one checks the others. The schedule says what should happen, the log says what did, and the supply says whether the next one is even possible.

## How do you set the three up in Moodwell?

The GLP-1 treatment is one item in the [Health cabinet](https://www.moodwell.ai/health/glp-1-tracker), the same cabinet that holds medications, supplements and peptides. The schedule, the supply and every logged injection hang off that one item.

1. Add the treatment to the cabinet. Enter the product and the prescribed dose, or capture the label and check the extracted details before you save.
2. Save the schedule you were instructed to follow. Moodwell records the timing you enter. It does not suggest a schedule, a starting dose or when to change one.
3. Enter the supply details for the item: what you have on hand right now.
4. Log each injection when you take it: the dose, the date, the time and the injection site. Add a symptom with its severity if there is one, and a weight if you weigh that day.
5. Open Health Today for what is due, and open the item itself for the dose history, the schedule and the supply.

Manual logging never uses AI credits. The injection log, the schedule and the supply are plain entries you make and can edit. Asking a coach about the record is an AI feature and does use credits.

## What is the difference between a scheduled dose and a logged one?

Everything. A scheduled dose is a plan the app shows you. A logged dose is a record you entered after the fact. Moodwell keeps the two apart on purpose: saving a schedule creates no dose history, and the only way an injection enters the log is for you to log it. If Thursday passes without an entry, the log shows a gap on Thursday, and the schedule does not fill it in for you.

That matters for the conversation with your prescriber. "I take it every Thursday" is a plan. "Nine doses logged since September, one of them two days late, the last one in the left thigh" is a record, and the appointment runs on the record. Our [side effect timeline](https://www.moodwell.ai/the-whole-picture/tracking/how-long-do-glp-1-side-effects-last) explains why the dose date next to the symptom date is the detail that makes a log readable.

![Moodwell Health dose timeline with scheduled medications and supplements.](https://www.moodwell.ai/images/product/health-today-detail.png)

Health Today in Moodwell: the dose timeline for one day, with scheduled items and recorded doses shown as different things.

**A logged dose is a record, not guidance**

Moodwell does not recommend a dose, a schedule or a change to either. The estimated drug level shown for a GLP-1 item is a mathematical model built from the doses you logged, not a measurement, and it is not a reason to take or skip a dose. Follow your prescriber.

## How do you know how many doses are left?

Open the item. The supply record sits on the same screen as the schedule and the dose history, so "how many are left" is answered where "when is the next one" is, not at the fridge. Enter the supply when a new box arrives, and read it against the dose history before you reorder: if the log shows four injections since the last box and the box held four, the next entry is the one you do not have.

If you pay for each box yourself, this is the line to check a week before it runs out, not the morning of. Moodwell does not source, price or reorder medication, and nothing in the app will tell you where to buy it. It keeps the count where you will see it, next to the last dose you logged.

Supply and schedule belong to every cabinet item, not only the GLP-1 one, so a daily tablet or a supplement gets the same treatment. The [medication tracker](https://www.moodwell.ai/health/medication-tracker) page describes the cabinet, the schedule and the dose history for those.

## What else sits on the same day as the injection?

The meal, the workout and the mood check-in, if you keep them. [Daily Insights](https://www.moodwell.ai/features/daily-insights) lists the meals, workouts, health events and reflections recorded on one day, with the planned items beside them, so the morning injection, a small lunch and an afternoon symptom entry are on one screen without you lining up three apps.

Two limits apply. Medication and supplement records are excluded from the cross-layer correlation engine, so Moodwell will never tell you that a dose caused a symptom or that a meal eased one; the same-day view is a timeline you read, not an analysis. And the [connected dashboard](https://www.moodwell.ai/features/connected-dashboard) needs 21 paired days of data before it suggests any pattern at all, and a pattern is a question to ask, not a cause.

For the food side of a GLP-1 week, our [food logger comparison](https://www.moodwell.ai/the-whole-picture/compare/best-food-logger-for-glp-1) covers what to log about meals beside doses, so this article does not repeat it.

## What if your history is already in Shotsy?

Bring it across once. After you add the GLP-1 item, Moodwell offers a [Shotsy import](https://www.moodwell.ai/integrations/shotsy) on the completion screen. You choose the Shotsy CSV file, the import shows how many injections, weights and symptoms it found and flags weight outliers, and after you confirm it reports what was saved and what was skipped. Imported injections keep their original dose details and land on the item you selected.

- It is a file import, not a live sync. Later entries in Shotsy do not appear in Moodwell unless you save a new file from Shotsy and import it again.
- Importing the same file twice can duplicate injections and symptoms. They are not deduplicated.
- A weight is skipped when your Moodwell weight history already has a reading for that calendar day, so a lower weight count in the summary is not lost data.
- This is the only importer. Moodwell does not read files from other trackers, and it has no export of its own.

## What does this record not do?

- It does not prescribe, source, price or compare medication. Which GLP-1, which dose and when to change it are decisions for you and your prescriber, and the app only repeats the schedule you entered back to you.
- It does not measure anything. Estimated drug levels are mathematical models built from the doses you logged.
- It does not find causes. Medication records stay out of the correlation engine, and a same-day entry is never presented as the reason for another.
- The 13 coach personas are AI, not people or clinicians. A coach can read the records you make available and propose an action that applies only after you confirm it, and its reply can be wrong.

Moodwell runs on Android and in the desktop web app; iOS is a waitlist with no promised date. One subscription covers all four layers at $9.99 a month or $99 a year on the web, with a 7-day web trial that needs a payment method and no free plan. On Google Play the price is $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, and the store checkout shows local currency, tax and offer eligibility.

One question, then. Tomorrow morning, from one screen: when is the next one due, what did you actually take last, and how many are left? If the answer takes three places to assemble, that is the record to fix first.

Put it into practice

## Keep the schedule, the log and the supply on one item

The GLP-1 tracker records each injection with dose, date, time and site, keeps the schedule and supply with the item, and shows what is due in Health Today.

A little more context

## Questions, answered

**Does Moodwell tell me when my next GLP-1 dose is due?**

It shows the next due item in Health Today based on the schedule you saved. The schedule is yours to enter from your prescriber’s instructions. Moodwell does not propose a schedule, a dose or a change to either.

**What happens in Moodwell if I skip a scheduled dose?**

Nothing is written to the log. A schedule is a plan, and only an injection you log becomes history, so the gap stays visible in the dose history. Tell your prescriber about a missed dose; the app does not advise on how to handle one.

**Can Moodwell import my Shotsy history?**

Yes, once, from a Shotsy CSV file, after you add the GLP-1 item. The import previews the injections, weights and symptoms it found, skips a weight when that day already has a reading, and can duplicate injections and symptoms if you import the same file twice. It is not a live sync.

**Are the estimated drug levels in Moodwell measured?**

No. They are mathematical models built from the doses you logged, not blood tests, and they should not be used to decide whether to take, skip or change a dose.

**Can I see whether an injection caused a symptom?**

No. Medication and supplement records are excluded from the cross-layer correlation engine. Daily Insights shows the injection and the symptom on the same day as a timeline you read; it does not say one caused the other.

**Does Moodwell sell GLP-1 medication or help me get a prescription?**

No. Moodwell is a personal record. It does not prescribe, source, price or compare medication and has no telehealth service. It keeps the schedule you entered, the injections you logged and the supply you recorded in one place.
