Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information Moodwell processes, why it is used, the choices available to you, and how to contact us.

Effective September 18, 2026

Information you provide

  • Account details such as your email address, profile choices, and settings.
  • Records you choose to create, including workouts, food logs, health routines, measurements, check-ins, journals, plans, conversations, and goals.
  • Support messages and privacy requests you send to Moodwell.
  • Your email address, platform, signup type, consent text version and time, and the page where you joined a waitlist or applied for a beta.

Connected and imported information

If you connect Android Health Connect, Moodwell requests read-only access to categories such as steps, sleep, exercise sessions, heart-rate records, weight, and body fat. It reads only categories you approve. You can change permissions in Android or disconnect the integration in Moodwell.

If you choose a Shotsy CSV file, Moodwell parses injections, weights, and symptoms and shows a summary. After you confirm the import, the records are added to your account, with injections and symptoms linked to the GLP-1 item you set up.

Information processed automatically

  • Security and operational data such as IP address, request time, device or browser information, and error logs.
  • Aggregate marketing-site measurements through Plausible when analytics is configured, including page visits and controlled events such as store clicks. Moodwell does not send form contents, email addresses, account IDs, or health records in those events.

How Moodwell uses information

  • Provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
  • Display your history, targets, plans, and supported insights.
  • Process AI requests you choose to make using the context supported by that feature.
  • Manage subscriptions and credits with the applicable payment or app-store provider.
  • Respond to support, privacy, and account-deletion requests.
  • Maintain platform waitlists and beta applications, and send only the messages covered by the consent you gave.

AI processing

When you use an AI feature, Moodwell sends your request and the context used by that feature to its AI service provider. That can include a food description, journal text for a reflection, or account records shared with a coaching conversation. AI responses can be inaccurate or incomplete. Do not use them as a substitute for professional judgment or emergency support.

Moodwell does not use personal journals, conversations, health records, or connected health data for advertising.

Service providers and disclosures

Moodwell uses service providers for hosting, authentication, database storage, payments, app distribution, AI processing, analytics, and operational support. They process information on Moodwell's behalf under their terms and safeguards. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect the service or users, or in connection with a business transaction subject to appropriate protections.

Retention and deletion

Moodwell keeps information for as long as needed to provide the service, secure it, meet legal or transaction-record obligations, and resolve disputes. Retention periods depend on the record and account state.

You can delete your account and its data yourself in the app, under Settings, then Your account. Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. You can instead archive the account, which stops billing and keeps your records until you restore it. Either way your Moodwell subscription is cancelled, including one billed through Google Play.

If you cannot sign in, request deletion at privacy@moodwell.ai. Waitlist subscribers can request removal using the same address. After a deletion we keep payment records with your name and account removed, because those records must still reconcile for transaction and accounting purposes, and they can no longer be linked back to you. Some limited records may also be retained where required for legal, fraud-prevention, or security purposes.

Your choices

  • Use the editing controls in your records and profile settings, or contact us to request a correction.
  • Change or revoke Health Connect permissions in Android.
  • Cancel subscriptions through the billing provider that processed the purchase, or by archiving or deleting your account, which cancels them for you.
  • Archive or delete your account in the app, under Settings, then Your account.
  • Request access, correction, or other applicable privacy rights by emailing privacy@moodwell.ai.

Children

Moodwell is not directed to children under 13. Local law may require a higher minimum age or parental involvement. Contact privacy@moodwell.ai if you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate authorization.

Changes and contact

Moodwell may update this policy as the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date identifies the current published version. Send privacy questions and rights requests to privacy@moodwell.ai.
