Review an AI-assisted workout plan before using it
Check the assumptions, equipment, exercise details, and schedule in an AI-created routine.
In brief
Treat an AI-assisted routine as a draft. Check every exercise, unit, target, and equipment assumption, then compare the sessions with your available time and existing guidance. AI routine creation uses credits in Moodwell; manual routine creation remains an option.
Make the request specific enough to review
AI assistance can provide a starting structure for a routine, but the output is only useful if you can check it against your situation. Before requesting help, identify the equipment you have, the sessions you are trying to organize, and any existing plan you intend to follow.
Be clear about missing information. An AI-generated routine cannot observe your movement or verify the physical setup around you. Avoid treating a fluent explanation as evidence that the system has assessed your training needs. The practical task is to inspect the draft it produces.
Read the routine exercise by exercise
Open the created routine and inspect the actual entries rather than judging it by the introductory explanation. A plan can sound suitable while containing one unavailable piece of equipment or an exercise variation you did not intend to use.
- 1
Check the movement names
Open unfamiliar exercise details and confirm which variation each entry represents.
- 2
Check equipment and units
Compare every movement with your available setup and inspect the unit attached to weight targets.
- 3
Review the targets
Treat suggested values as items requiring review against an appropriate plan and individual guidance.
- 4
Review the schedule
Check whether the sessions can fit around your actual commitments before placing them in the week.
Do not let a confident answer settle a personal question
An exercise may appear in the draft because it fits a broad description, but that does not establish that it is appropriate for a particular injury, restriction, or unfamiliar situation. Resolve those questions with someone qualified to assess them.
You can use the draft to make the conversation more concrete. Bring the exact movement name, the proposed structure, and the point you do not understand. The AI output becomes material to review rather than a final authority that replaces the guidance you need.
Example: the draft assumes equipment you do not have
Suppose you request a routine for a small home setup, but the result includes a cable exercise. Identify that mismatch before scheduling or starting the session. Check the relevant library entries and settle an appropriate movement choice using the guidance you follow.
Then edit the routine so its saved exercises describe the plan you actually intend to use. Do not log a different movement under the cable exercise name just to preserve the generated routine. The draft is allowed to change; the final workout record should remain accurate.
Use assistance when it reduces a real setup task
AI-assisted routine creation uses credits in Moodwell. If you already know the exact exercises and targets you want to save, building the routine manually may be the more direct task. AI is optional, not a requirement for creating a useful plan.
After reviewing any generated draft, use the same care you would with a manually created routine: check the session before starting, record actual completed values, and inspect the summary afterward. The origin of the routine does not change what an accurate workout log needs to contain.
