Reconcile older health notes before entering them
Sort confirmed events from plans, duplicates, and incomplete notes before bringing older records into the app.
In brief
Review older notes in a small date range, identify which entries describe actual events, and compare them with existing Moodwell history. Enter only verified missing events with their original dates, and keep unresolved details out of confirmed intake records.
Read the old note as evidence, not as an instruction
Older health notes often mix plans, reminders, and completed events. A line that names a medication beside a weekday might describe a schedule rather than intake. Before entering it into Moodwell, decide what the source actually establishes and what you are merely assuming.
Work with a short date range, such as one week. Keep the original note available while you review it. If a line has no year, unclear units, or an ambiguous product name, put it on a question list instead of guessing. You can finish a useful reconciliation while leaving uncertain lines unresolved.
Check whether the event already exists
Open the relevant cabinet item and review its dose history for the same period. Remember that older entries may be on another history page, and an active status filter may hide relevant records. Compare dates, times, amounts, and statuses before declaring an event missing.
Keep different sources distinct in your working notes. A calendar reminder and a handwritten confirmation may refer to the same occasion without being two events. Similarly, a previous import may already contain an event you are about to enter manually. The aim is one accurate record of each confirmed event.
Example: one page contains a plan and two confirmations
Imagine a notebook page with a weekly medication plan at the top and two dated confirmations beneath it. The plan lists several occasions, but only the confirmations establish reported events. One of those confirmations already appears in Moodwell history.
Leave the schedule lines out of the dose log. Compare the existing event carefully, then enter only the other confirmed event if its required details can be verified. Preserve its original date and time. Keep any incomplete information in your working notes rather than adding extra events to make every planned occasion look accounted for.
Work through one small batch
- 1
Choose the dates
Select a manageable period and keep all source notes for those dates together, including any uncertainty about their year or time convention.
- 2
Classify each line
Separate planned occasions, confirmed events, and unresolved statements. Only confirmed events are candidates for a factual dose record.
- 3
Compare with Moodwell
Inspect the matching item history across all relevant pages and statuses to avoid creating duplicates from records already present.
- 4
Review the saved result
After adding verified missing events, check their original timestamps and amounts, then mark the source batch reviewed in your own notes.
Use a supported import only for its intended source
Moodwell supports a Shotsy file import for existing GLP-1 history. That does not mean arbitrary notebooks, spreadsheets, or medication files share the same import path. Follow the guide for the actual source you have, and review the resulting records.
A careful partial history is preferable to a fully populated history built from guesses. Preserve the originals until you are satisfied with the reconciliation, and keep unanswered record questions separate from questions about treatment.
